Saturday Show and Tell - a showcase of things each week that lit up my brain and fired my imagination. Enjoy!
Dan and I took a lovely trip to Spokane last weekend to visit with friends. We stayed in our first Airbnb, and it was a positive experience, and one I would repeat. While we were there, I wanted to go to a museum. It's one of the things I miss most about East Coast living. The Northwest Museum was where we went, and they had this piece displayed across from the front desk.
Black Minuet by Beth Cavener
There was something inherently fairy tale about it.
I stumbled upon this online magazine this week, and devoured the first issue in a day. One of the stories in the second issue brought me to tears. This is the kind of liminal writing to lend everyday experiences depth and beauty. It reminds me a bit of how the spaces between poetry feel when I'm reading it alone and can glimpse the magic.
Not a lot of time to read poetry? Or read at all? Then, I've got the site for you! This little website has been enjoyable to turn to all week while I took a break from reading, writing, or chores. It's exactly what it claims. One sentence poems to inspire and entertain.
Feel free to share a find from this week, whether it was online or outside, I'd love to hear about it!
