The Kiss

Gustav Klimt's, The Kiss, is one of my favorite paintings. Since most of my themes tend to revolve around nature or religion, I wanted to do something different.

The Kiss

She kneels
toes curled under
bracing slender against
the golden shattering

He feels
her hand soft
as the blossoms
in her hair.

He sees
her lashes still
contrast with her
heart beating.

She clings
hand tense
where he can’t see
her only strength
against Midas
blessed tenderness.

Have you seen Woman in Gold? It's a wonderful movie - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2404425/.

  2. Wasn't sure about it, but I'll check it out since you recommend it!
